Allegedly, Dave Gahan's voice was really bad during this show. Dave later on said in the '101' movie: "[My voice] is nowhere near as bad as it was in San Francisco. I couldn't even speak then."

The San Francisco Examiner advertised this concert a few times up until November 29th 1987, saying "Second show added! December 2nd", but that second concert never happened. This suggests that the two planned concerts were merged at the last minute due to poor ticket sales.

Nitzer Ebb was supposed to be the support act but couldn't get a visa in time, so Voice Farm was the support act.
