From December 30th 1988 till January 9th 1989, Martin Gore spent his holiday in Japan. He had just started dating Suzanne, his now-ex-wife, who was a successful model there. On the 7th, Martin was interviewed by Rockin' On magazine in Tokyo. The interview appeared in the March 1989 issue of the magazine. In 2015, interpreter Steve Harris uploaded the audio of the interview on YouTube, which has been re-uploaded below.
