Notes

According to the official Songs Of Faith And Devotion Live release's artwork, One Caress from this concert appears on the album. There is currently no audience recording currently circulating from this date to confirm this information.

According to Steve Lyon, who mixed SOFAD Live, One Caress used for that album was actually recorded on 1993-10-11 The Summit, Houston, TX, USA. Steve is quoted as saying:[1]

"Well for me I remember recording it in Houston and working on it there with the band, I had a dreadful cold I remember... then flying back to the UK to co-ordinate the SOFAD live album. Those are basically my recollections. I also remember recording it at Crystal Palace[2] with a small orchestra on stage but it wasn't very successful as the musicians removed the mics (bugs as they are called) placed on the instruments between soundcheck and the gig. The result was difficult, more on stage than the recording but they were badly out of tune."

Although Steve was nonspecific about which Houston concert, the first night has an audience recording and One Caress was not performed; thus, the second night must have had the performance of One Caress. Also, as such, this New Orleans concert may not have necessarily had a performance of One Caress.

According to setlist.fm's page for this concert as well as Jonathan Miller's book Stripped (see quote below), Dave suffered from a heart attack near the end of the set and the concert was cut short.

Less than halfway through the North American leg, during the New Orleans Lakefront Arena show of October 8, Dave Gahan allegedly suffered a heart attack. "It was during the last song," the singer recalled. "I literally couldn't hear anything, so I went off. Something was going on - I couldn't breathe, and the other guys were like, 'We've gotta do an encore!' So Martin and Alan decided to go back and do a song, and the only song they could do off-the-cuff was 'Death's Door'."

Martin Gore explained in the commentary track on the DVD of '101' in 2003:

The The was the support act.
