As he says in that interview, he was friends with Tim Simenon and got to meet Dave Gahan via him in 1996. Jason also interviewed Tim Simenon in May 1996 for KCRW FM, perhaps this is how he got to know Tim, and perhaps this is also how Jason got to DJ before DM. Sources

  • Source 1 is the most complete, best sounding soundboard recording available.
  • Source 2 is a DVD containing both the sources used to create Source 1 above. It has an MTV broadcast recording as well as what seems to be an E! prebroadcast version from VHS.
  • Source 3 is soundboard audio from a 2nd or 3rd generation pre-broadcast E! VHS, but the audio has been poorly remastered. Grab this one only if you're a collector.
  • Source 4 is a very good audience recording.
