A very good soundboard recording of the second and final Ultra Party on Friday, May 16th, 1997. Two sources were used to complete the concert recording, detailed below.

Unaired interviews with Dave, interviewed by E! TV, and with Andy some time in 1993 are also included. Dave's interview is from the afternoon before the concert and the making of "Ultra" is discussed, as well as Dave's recovery and his feelings on performing sober on stage. Andy's is from some time in 1993 since he references the upcoming release of SOFAD Live and the South African, Far East and South American legs of the Exotic tour as well as the then-uncertain US Summer Tour 94. If anybody has any further specifics about the interview such as the exact date or who conducted the interview, please let us know via email at admin [at] depechemode-live [dot] com.

A PAL DVD containing two separate video recordings as well as interviews with Dave and Andy is [http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=426424 available on DIME]. The two video sources contained the lossless audio used here.

Dave Gahan told [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4MfE77TS08 TV channel E!] earlier that day:
<blockquote>
"It's a party. We've done a [[1997-04-10 Adrenalin Village, London, England, UK|similar thing in London]] for the record, like a record release party. There's gonna be quite a lot of fans there that have won tickets through various radio stations and stuff, and also a lot of friends and guests. I guess altogether like 1500-2000 people, something like that. So it's gonna be some party. There's deejays and all that kind of stuff, and lots of strange-looking people walking around. We'll play like five songs, one old song and four songs from the record. It's fun doing it. I'm really looking forward to it. It's not like I have never performed sober before, like nothing: a drink, or pill, or anything, or something - I have. But I can't remember the last time I did. And we've done the same thing in London. And I think, for me personally, it sounds good enough to walk out and sing and feel really nervous and excited at the same time. And to not use something to prop myself up with, and just have to go out and "be drawn to the light", as Mick Jagger would say."

Jason Bentley was the support act, as a DJ. Jason got to interview the DM 16 years later at [[2013-03-13 SXSW, Convention Center, Austin, TX, USA]]. As he says in that interview, he was friends with Tim Simenon and got to meet Dave Gahan via him in 1996. Jason also interviewed Tim Simenon in May 1996 for KCRW FM, perhaps this is how he got to know Tim, and perhaps this is also how Jason got to DJ before DM. He also DJed before Martin Gore's two shows at the Mayan Theatre in 2003.

*Source 2: MTV broadcast, likely a broadcast which was recorded, was used for the following:
*[[1997-05-16 Shrine Exposition Hall, Los Angeles, CA, USA/Source 2|Source 2]] is a first-generation MiniDV copy of the full MTV footage.
**45 seconds of pre-show DJ set music and the first 25 seconds of "Uselink" (crowd noise which looked lossy or had excessive noise reduction applied)

**About 35 seconds at the end of "Home" which was edited out on the E! version
*[[1997-05-16 Shrine Exposition Hall, Los Angeles, CA, USA/Source 4|Source 4]] is a very good audience recording.
**Entirety of "Never Let Me Down Again" - the E! version looked lossy or had excessive noise reduction applied; Dave's goodbyes and additional audience noise are retained from the E! version
**Dave's interview
*Source 3: E! TV recording, second or third gen VHS, likely a pre-broadcast source; used only for Andy's interview
