German journalist Marcel Anders always does a big interview with Depeche Mode for each of their album releases, and his interviews will then be used by many media either as audio or as text. He also tends to give an excerpt to Radio Eins first.

When Dave turned 50 in 2012, many radio stations spent a minute talking about Dave's life and career, but Eins Live actually included some recent interview footage. Marcel Anders did an interview with Dave that year about his Soulsavers project. In this excerpt, you can hear Dave talking about his tumour in 2009 and about the new dynamics in Depeche Mode.
