Gary Turner, the DJ at Crocs, was now part of Rascals too. Dave Gahan [http://www.oocities.org/kahniverous/depechemodecrocs.html said in spring 1981]: "Gary's now opened a second club, Rascals in Southend on a Friday night. At first glance, this concert seems to conflict with 1981-01-23 Hope 'N' Anchor. However, photographic evidence by Steve Burton as well as confirmation from Daryl Bamonte's old records show that this concert did take place. DM peformed once before in this venue when it was still called Scamps, see 1980-04-17 Scamps, Southend-On-Sea, Essex, England, UK.
