At first glance, this concert seems to conflict with [[1981-01-23 Hope 'N' Anchor, London, England, UK|1981-01-23 Hope 'N' Anchor]]. However, [https://twitter.com/cfcMode/status/574669074820644866/photo/1 photographic evidence by Steve Burton] as well as confirmation from Daryl Bamonte's old records show that this concert did take place. Gary Turner, the DJ at Crocs, was now part of Rascals too. Dave Gahan [http://www.oocities.org/kahniverous/depechemodecrocs.html said in spring 1981]: "Gary's now opened a second club, Rascals in Southend on a Friday night. DM peformed once before in this venue when it was still called Scamps, see 1980-04-17 Scamps, Southend-On-Sea, Essex, England, UK. (Thanks to Facebook group 'Depeche Mode Classic Photos And Videos' for this research.)
