Matt Pinfield and Leslie Fram interview Dave Gahan over the phone for his morning show. Even though Matt and Dave are in the same city, the interview takes place over the phone because DM were doing interviews over the phone with radio stations from all over the world that day. Among other things, Dave talks about when Vince and Dave went to Rough Trade to give them their demo tape, and when Daniel Miller saw DM live for the first time. The interview was later on put on 101.9's site (link no longer working). Matt Pinfield also met up with DM earlier that week for an hour-long interview for radio-industry magazine FMQB, which was made available on a CD of which reportedly only about 100 copies were made. We would like to have a rip of this CD.
