Notes

Podcast hosts Niklas Berglöf and Magnus Lindberg interview Christoffer Berg about his career, for issue #58 of their 'Musikprodd-podden' podcast, recorded at Redmount Studios in Stockholm. Among other things, they ask Christoffer about the time he was a programmer for Depeche Mode's Delta Machine, recorded in 2012. Christoffer talks about being suggested by Ben Hillier's team as a possible programmer and meeting all the criteria of a long list of programming skills; having to meet Daniel Miller in London to get an "OK stamp" from him; working intensely in 5-week, 6-days-a-week recording sessions for three sessions with a 3-week break in between recording sessions, making a total of 140 working days; having to send raw mixes of songs to Daniel Miller every day; the band telling Christoffer that Vince Clarke was coming over for dinner; the band staying at a hotel in Beverly Hills in April 2013 and Martin being starstruck by seeing Mick Jagger and Paul McCarthy there.

The podcast was uploaded on their site, and we have cut out and re-uploaded the part where Christoffer talks about working with Depeche Mode. Please note that the interview is conducted in Swedish. We also have [2013-03-18 Musikguiden i P3, P3, Stockholm, Sweden|this radio interview] with Christoffer, conducted in 2013 and also in Swedish.
