Notes

'Radio News' is an unreleased Vince Clarke-penned song by Depeche Mode that appears on the Summer 1980 Demo Tape. It was played at several early live concerts. Currently, 1980-09-20 Crocs, Rayleigh, Essex, England, UK is the only confirmed performance. You can listen to the entire track below:

A lossless version is also available for streaming on the Summer 1980 Demo Tape page.

The track was refutably described by Daryl Bamonte in BONG magazine, issue 24 as having never been recorded. See below:

Lyrics

Radio News

I heard it on

The radio news

The mass decision

The mass view

Concealing

Concentration

We spoke then

Of a nation

They seem to be

In my doorway

In my stairway

And in my hallway

In my head

And in my action

The self-inflicted

Contraction

And I can speak

And I can walk

And I can move

And I can talk

And I can speak

And I can walk

And I can move

And I can talk

Yes I can talk

I can talk

I can talk

I can talk

Talk

Talk

Talk

Talk
