1 + 2 is the debut extended play by Recoil and the first solo work to be released by Alan Wilder after joining Depeche Mode in 1982. It was originally released on vinyl only on 18 August 1986 by Mute Records, later released on CD and cassette two years later to coincide with Recoil's sophomore album Hydrology.
