Notes

From an interview in the 1983-01-22 issue of Patches magazine:

Dave: "At Birmingham, we had to go in a Transit van instead of the coach, to fool everyone. Of course, it didn't. People were hammering on the roof and it was really frightening. As I got out of the van I was lynched before I made it to the hotel door."

Jon Botting, tour manager: "Yes it was dreadful. I just heard Dave scream and flung my brief-case across the reception and tried to rescue him."

Alan Wilder: "He ended up on the floor. It was funny really, with the hotel only being across the road from the venue. We learned one lesson, though. At the evening performance, as soon as the last number was over, we made a beeline for the hotel. We were up in our hotel rooms before everyone waiting outside the venue for us to come out knew we'd left."

Matt Fretton was the support act.
