According to two gig advertisements, Depeche Mode and Medium Medium were supposed to support Altered Images on a "Futurist Night". It appears that this night never actually happened, as per Medium Medium's gig list, and "B-Movies" played instead of DM. It seems possible that this could have been one of Stevo Pearce's Some Bizzare night, although it wasn't it Stevo's "territory". Depeche Mode later said that they didn't like to be branded as a "Futurist" band, so that could be a reason to cancel this gig.

Dave Gahan in 1981:

"We were associated with this movement and we had a tag. But we weren’t really anything to do with this Futurist thing, or New Romantic whatever.”
