1984-12-14 Alsterdorf Sporthalle, Hamburg, Germany/Source 1
Notes
A very good audience recording with some enthusiastic screamers and singers near the taper. Bass frequencies appear to be distorted at times and the recording sounds reverberated.
"Shout" and "Just Can't Get Enough" are missing entirely. Ice Machine misses the ending, and Lie To Me misses the first few seconds, presumably due to a tape flip. The fade between Somebody and Ice Machine was likely added for the 2xCD-R and isn't an actual tape flip.
A duplicated segment during Photographic was removed, and a glitchy segment was patched using an alternate source. Speed and phase corrections were applied and a ringing noise present for the first 45 minutes was cleanly eliminated. Clicks and pops were very loud in the right channel, so I applied click removal only to the right channel, leaving the left channel untouched. While occasional clicks can still be heard in the left channel, they are much less distracting than those removed from the right channel. The hiss remains untouched.
Dave's banter with the audience is frequent during this concert, but his speech is quite hard to discern due to reverberation within the venue.
