In photos and videos from after this date, Dave Gahan can be seen sporting a wound on his head. While reviewing an old TV interview from 1985 for a TV interview in 1993, Dave comments: "At a gig in New York I ran into a speaker, got a bit too close. So, I had run side to side on stage, kind of a bit manically, and I went a bit too far and ended up colliding into the... Jesus that's some hairdo [referring to his platinum-blond hair]."
