Spiritualized was the support act. The audience was really hostile towards them, so they quit supporting DM after only five shows.

Here is Daryl Bamonte's entry for the famous Devotional Tour Diary, published in Bong magazine in 1994:

Good show tonight. Good party afterwards. The tour is starting to hot up, as the band settle into it. Spirit of camaraderie starting to appear.
