I can't really remember why I went to that festival - probably for R.E.M. and the Ramones. I was even more amazed when I dug in my old tapes that I recorded the Depeche Mode gig :-) Well, 32 years later, there you go! The only think I remember was that the dance moves of Dave Gahan seemed a bit strange to me at the time...

Notes

A very good audience recording; although bass is somewhat distorted. There is a tape flip after Everything Counts and the first couple seconds of Photographic might be missing. There is also a cut during the middle of Blasphemous Rumours and roughly 20 seconds are missing.

Some notes from the taper:

I can't really remember why I went to that festival - probably for R.E.M. and the Ramones. I was even more amazed when I dug in my old tapes that I recorded the Depeche Mode gig :-) Well, 32 years later, there you go! The only think I remember was that the dance moves of Dave Gahan seemed a bit strange to me at the time...

Many thanks to Philippe Petit for taping, transferring and generously sharing this recording.
