Right before this gig, rain dropped onto the band's equipment. Martyn Bates from Eyeless In Gaza told Simon Spence for his DM biography: "Martin [Gore] was laughing, saying: I'm not going on. Dave was the one determined to go on in the rain, like he would have gone on even if he'd got electrocuted."
