A good audience recording with a generally quiet crowd. This source is much clearer and has less objectionable hiss than the previously circulating version, with frequencies consistently reaching around 11 KHz, which isn't bad considering the typical recording equipment of the time.

There is a fair amount of wow and flutter, which is likely innate to the original recording since the previous lossless version suffers from the same problem. Consequently, certain instruments during songs can sound very strange, such as the synth lead during Tora! Tora! Tora! and most piano-based sounds. There is some light distortion throughout the recording, and bass sounds overwhelming.

Strangely, you can hear light pops and clicks throughout the recording, which is odd as this recording isn't vinyl-sourced; they're likely a fault of my tape copy (presumably a magnetized capstan on the recording deck), but they do not detract significantly from the recording, so I left them untouched. Automatic phase correction fixed the channel balance; the recording is now pretty centered, whereas the left channel was louder than the right on the previous version.

This recording was speed-corrected to approximately match the 2010 digital rebroadcast of 1982-02-10 London.

At the beginning of New Life, there is a backing tape failure, and there is a momentary pause before the song resumes.

Shout is missing the beginning, and there is a glitch audible later in the song shortly after the vocals begin, which causes a few seconds of music to be lost. There are a couple more glitches near the beginning of I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead, where the taper likely adjusted their equipment, causing a short drop-out.

You can hear other short "bumps" throughout the recording as well. Around one minute of audio during New Life is missing from the middle of the song. Audience noise between Just Can't Get Enough and What's Your Name? is missing, and the first few seconds and the very last second of What's Your Name? are missing too.

My friend Ryan Mayer (LilKing22 on DIME) was born on this concert's date. He passed away on July 9, 2014, much too soon. RIP my friend, hoping you're enjoying all the best Depeche Mode recordings you could ever want. "All I wanna do is see you again..."
