An excellent sounding FM radio broadcast recording, aired by Radio Clyde in two parts: the first part of the broadcast ends with "Ice Machine," and the second part begins with New Life. The audio is well mixed and is a very enjoyable listen.

This transfer benefits from correct playback speed using the 19KHz FM pilot tone as reference, adjusted playback head azimuth for optimal high-frequency response, more well-defined bass, and generally clearer sound.

This master recording has previously circulated thanks to the taper malcolmb's transfer, originally shared on DIME around 2014. Malcolm kindly mailed the master cassette to the Depeche Mode Live Wiki for a fresh transfer on a high-end Nakamichi deck.

Additionally, radio host chatter is retained in this version. The radio host does not interrupt the music and only speaks following each part of the broadcast. The DJ chatter is transcribed as follows:

"The first part of a two-part recording of Depeche Mode recorded recently at Tiffany's in Glasgow. The songs you heard in order were "Shout", "I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead", "Boys Say Go!", "I'm In Control", "See You", "Big Muff", "Now, This Is Fun", and the final song there, a song called "Ice Machine"."

"A great reminder of an absolutely splendid concert. A second part of the exclusive recording to Radio Clyde of Depeche Mode live at Tiffany's in Glasgow, and my thanks to that go to the usual generals and commanders who man the Radio Clyde mobile. A splendid selection of songs; just in case you want to know the titles again, the songs you heard in order were "New Life", "Tora! Tora! Tora!", "Meaning Of Love", "I Just Can't Get Enough", "What's Your Name?", "Photographic", "Dreaming Of Me", and finally there, "I Like It". A great concert as I said, and a great recording. My thanks to the guys concerned. Okay, there'll be some ..."

There is occasional radio interference audible in the form of crackles and pops. The interference becomes more frequent for the second part of the broadcast, which starts with New Life. De-click plugins seemed largely ineffective at repairing this noise, so no form of noise reduction or click removal was applied to avoid needlessly damaging the audio. The first 28 seconds of Shout are mono, after which the remainder of the recording is in stereo.

It seems that the taper started recording the second part of the broadcast about 30 to 45 seconds late, so the beginning of New Life and any radio host introduction for the second part is lost.

For an improved listening experience, New Life has been seamlessly patched using audio from the 1982-02-10 London broadcast audio. An unpatched version is available in a subfolder. The 1982-02-10 London broadcast audio used to supply the patch is available here.

The original tape flip occurs after Just Can't Get Enough, and only a small amount of audience noise seems to be missing as a result.

This concert ended with the song I Like It, a cover of the song originally by Gerry and The Pacemakers. The song was a live-only cover, performed only during the 1982 See You tour. Dave introduces the song: "This next song's an old song, and it's called 'I Like It'. We'd like you to join in on the I like its... This is for Jo."
