Douglas McCarthy in 2013: "I think we were down in Marseilles or something, south of France, it was when [Depeche Mode] had the three short ramps—it was when I used to drop to my knees during “Join In The Chant”—and I went belting down the one in the middle, misjudged it, dropped to my knees and went straight off the end! [laughs]"
