1994-03-07 Theabarton Centre, Adelaide, Australia
Notes
It is unknown if Condemnation was performed on this date, and if so, whether it had Dave or Martin on lead vocals. 1994-03-08 Tennis Centre, Melbourne, Australia is the first recording after the South African dates of the 1994 Exotic Tour to have Condemnation dropped from the setlist temporarily due to Dave's trouble singing the song; it is dropped until 1994-03-16 Open Air Stadium, Hong Kong, Hong Kong where Martin sings lead vocals. The song was presumably played and sung by Dave for all of the South African dates, based on recordings from several of those dates.
Martin Gore told MTV Brasil:
"For me, it doesn't really matter, the size of the place. The audiences are always good. Our audiences are always good. Maybe we're spoilt by that fact. In Australia we played the smallest place we played for years, and it was a really good concert. It was only about 1,700 people. And sometimes it really doesn't matter. Sometimes you get a really good feel from playing a stadium and so many people, and if there's real hysteria there, you can get a real feel from that. But sometimes, a really small place, where the sound is contained, and the audience is as wild [as at a larger venue] is equally exciting."
Apparently, Dave Gahan had an argument at the hotel with Michael Bolton and his minders because Bolton wouldn't sign a woman's tour programme.
Caligula was the support act.
