Andy McCluskey [http://www.beatmag.net/archives/278 says]: “We were touring with our crew and on our day off – the Depeche Mode boys weren’t there because they weren’t touring with their crew – our bus and the other crew bus met for a game of cricket, and we beat the Depeche crew. They weren’t very happy about this so they arranged for a rematch in New Jersey and they beat the pants off us. Obviously Dave Gahan was wired off his face and was just swinging for Britain.
