All sources, including this one, have a section of diginoise during [[In Your Room]] before Dave sings "your burning eyes" (3:54 during this particular recording). The 2xCD-R bootleg "Rated PG" patched out the diginoise by using a segment from earlier in the song and it blends pretty well, actually. I have included a version with the diginoise patched out, exactly as the silver CD bootleg does it, if you choose to use it. An audience recording that recently surfaced (available at [[1994-05-14 Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountainview, San Francisco, CA, USA/Source 2|Source 2]]) also has the diginoise audible, so it seems that the issue was heard even by the audience and thus is "accurate".
What adds further interest is that all sources, including this one, have a brief section of diginoise present during [[In Your Room]] before Dave sings the line "your burning eyes" (specifically at 3:54 in this particular recording). The 2xCD-R bootleg titled "Rated PG" removed the diginoise by incorporating a segment from an earlier part of the song, resulting in a seamless blend. I have included a version where the diginoise has been patched out, replicating the approach taken by the silver CD bootleg, in case you would prefer to use it. Additionally, an audience recording (accessible as [[1994-05-14 Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountainview, San Francisco, CA, USA/Source 2|Source 2]]) also captures the diginoise, proving that the issue was audible to the audience and can be considered an accurate representation.

I have a soundboard recording from the USA '94 show in San Francisco. I always thought this was done without the bands knowledge/approval but when samples from the recording turned up in that god-awful new remix of 'World In My Eyes' (found on the XLCD of 'Only When I Lose Myself'), I realised that the band must have known about it. Did/do Depeche Mode record several shows of each tour in this manner, and if so, for what purpose?

Sound recordings direct from the front of house mixing desk were only ever made for personal reference reasons. I knew nothing about the above remix until I received a finished CD with it included. As you can imagine I was far from pleased.

BRAT Explanation:

The soundboard is definitely a bootleg (rumour is that someone knew one of the tour personnel and got a DAT clone). The remix you refer to (the absolutely HORRID "Safar Mix") was originally a bootleg 12" remix single.

I went to Reprise to present my proposal for a special 3rd CD to the upcoming (then) 'Singles 86>98' compilation. Craig Kostich (Product Manager at Reprise), later in the process of pressing up the bonus disc, took out 9 of the rarer tracks I wanted to see included on the Reprise release, and replaced them all with the piss-poor Safar Mix of 'World In My Eyes'. Craig is friends with the guy (Safar) therefore, you have him to blame for the track getting released.
