This is obviously not a complete recording of the tour rehearsals. You may note that all of these songs have the backing singers, Jordan Bailey and Georgia Lewis, having vocal parts. It may be that this was a reference recording created specifically for them to practice along with.

The date for this recording is inferred from the video clips that were previously uploaded to the official depechemode.com years ago of B-roll footage in Santa Barbara, which noted the date as May 30, 2001. I would imagine, however, that Depeche Mode held rehearsals on more than one day, so this date may be inaccurate. A fan attended rehearsals two days later on June 1, 2001, and there was a later dress rehearsal on June 10, 2001 in Quebec prior to the first concert of the tour the next night.

Notes

A good sounding soundboard recording of nine songs from tour rehearsals of the 2001 "Exciter" Tour. Despite being FLAC files, the audio is lossy. This is still better than the MP3 copies floating around which are even more lossy, and are also missing the first couple seconds of each song.

This is obviously not a complete recording of the tour rehearsals. You may note that all of these songs have the backing singers, Jordan Bailey and Georgia Lewis, having vocal parts. It may be that this was a reference recording created specifically for them to practice along with.
