At the 2023-03-25 SAP Center, San Jose show, a fan snapped a photo of a setlist sheet lying in the first aid room. The setlist sheet was titled "Oakland 21/03/2023". Usually the band perform their technical rehearsals at the venue where they will start their tour, but the Golden 1 Center was unavailable due to a basketball match that day. As for venues in Oakland, the only likely indoor venue would have been Oakland Arena, however this is not confirmed. The setlist sheet also had the song Condemnation printed on it, but it has been crossed out. After the concert at Golden 1 Center two days later, some concert photos by Anton Corbijn were released, depicting Dave Gahan on stage in casual clothing, so these photos may have been taken on that day.
