Notes

A very good FM broadcast recording, presumably sourced from a low-generation cassette tape. Unfortunately, it was encoded at 128kbps AAC after transfer from the cassette. Despite this, the sound quality remains quite good, though it is affected by the lossy compression and persistent tape hiss throughout.

WLIR 92.7 FM in Garden City, Long Island, NY, broadcast part of this concert on March 19, 1985, at 21:00, as an edition of their "Tuesday Night Radio Concerts" program.

The song See You is slightly incomplete, likely due to a tape flip occurring midway through the track. Several songs were cut-out prior to the broadcast: "Something To Do", "Two Minute Warning", "Puppets", "If You Want", "Shame", "Lie To Me", "Photographic", and "Shout".

The song Ice Machine, although present on this recording, has not been released in an official capacity as part of any commercial audio or video release from this concert. This version of the song has been carefully compared with other available soundboard-quality versions of the song from 1984, and is confirmed to be unique.

The track "Puppets" from this concert has no circulating recordings to date.

Given that this audio was prepared relatively soon after the concert was filmed, it is reasonable to suggest that the entire concert was recorded, with these two tracks being excluded from the home video release for reasons such as time constraints or not working as well as the other songs visually.

This would align with an explanation given for the omission of two tracks from the original "Devotional" video release, as stated on the old Shunt Q&A:

Why did the 'Devotional' video not include 'Policy Of truth' and 'Halo' considering you played them almost every show?
It was probably necessary to tighten up the compilation to fit within a particular time frame, so some tracks had to be omitted. These tracks were felt to be older and didn't work as well visually as some of the others.

The music was presented by radio host Larry “The Duck” Dunn and concluded by Donna Donna. Both announcers claimed the show was recorded specifically for WLIR 92.7 FM. However, this is not accurate, as other radio stations, such as WXXP FM in Pennsylvania, also had access to this recording.

Please note that a superior-sounding and complete pre-FM reel-to-reel recording is available as Source 1. This version is preserved for collectors, as it includes the original intros and outros from the radio hosts.
