Support act Spiritualized stopped supporting DM because the audience was really hostile towards them, and so DM found a local band named Cane'n'able sitting in Park Lane hotel's bar the day before that would support them on this night. Source

Here is Daryl Bamonte's entry for the famous Devotional Tour Diary, published in Bong magazine in 1994:

Ska band [Cane'n'able] were superb. Of all the support bands we’ve ever had, they are the most recent.

Allegedly, Dave said "I'm not cutting my fucking hair off 'cuz I'll get ugly" to someone in the crowd at one point during the gig.
