Notes

It is unknown if Condemnation was performed on this date, and if so, whether it had Dave or Martin on lead vocals. 1994-03-08 Tennis Centre, Melbourne, Australia is the first recording after the South African dates of the 1994 Exotic Tour to have Condemnation dropped from the setlist temporarily due to Dave's trouble singing the song; it is dropped until 1994-03-16 Open Air Stadium, Hong Kong, Hong Kong where Martin sings lead vocals. The song was presumably played and sung by Dave for all of the South African dates, based on recordings from several of those dates.

According to fans Demonchan Chan and Robin Chua on Facebook who attended this concert, Martin performed One Caress.

Here is Daryl Bamonte's entry for the famous Devotional Tour Diary, published in Bong magazine in 1994:

February 28th, SINGAPORE: I don’t know if anybody’s listening, but it’s actually physically impossible for one man to move 7 baggage trolleys, full of bags, from one place to another, all at once. Especially when it’s 7am, he’s just flown for 11 hours and feels like he’s wrapped in hot cling-film. Thank the Lord for those self-less troupers otherwise known as “The Crew”. (Especially Jeremy Scott Webb)

March 2nd, SINGAPORE: We’ve been here for three days now. It’s nice to feel safe when walking the streets, but when you gain safety you lose a certain buzz. It was quite a bizarre sight to see Martin Gore DJ’ing in a reggae bar tonight, an event that was both “safe” and “buzzin’”.

Andy Fletcher recalled in 2011:

"I remember that I was feeling not very well in Singapore, and I remember the other guys having a really heavy night! I remember that during the day, everyone was in bed - apart from me. It was that sort of a tour. It was a miserable time for me, and I think I really learnt what my weaknesses were and how to combat them. But I think that happens to everyone at some point in their lives."

He also said in 2005:

"The truth is, that was quite possibly the worst time for the band. I was depressed from all the touring, Dave was a drug addict and the whole band wasn't on speaking terms. Funnily enough, the only thing I remembered about that tour was our Singapore stop in 1994 when we played at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. It was a very good gig, even if we spent our times separately because it was a difficult time for us."

Martin Gore mentions this night in this interview:

"[The] 1993/'94 tour that we did for 'Songs of Faith and Devotion', it was an eighteen-month tour, and we went all over the world, and there were times when we were in Singapore, and we had been on tour for, I don't know, fourteen months, and you start having these thoughts, "Why are we in Singapore? We don't even sell any records here. I'm just gonna get drunk again!" We all managed to get through that tour without dying, but just about, I think."
