Notes

Here is the diary entry from DaveGahan.com:

Shepherds Bush show was great. Dave got a cut on his nose not sure if it was a fan or a mike stand, then he took a tumble over Knox's monitor! Got a massive bruise on his leg and kept going like nothing happened, Dave is a trooper.

Got to meet a handful of the Gahan family, really lovely folks.

Hung out with Jack (Dave's oldest) and bonded on our love of gadgets, I think Jack is going to help me film and take pics for the site.

Met Fletch at the show, which was really cool. It's funny I played on "Ultra" and the only one I met was Dave.

Very much looking forward to the show tonight it is always nice to play 2 nights in the same venue. Tonight after the show some nice Indian food!

Laura I, attendee: "He was doing one of his usual microphone spins and somehow ended up scratching his nose, which started bleeding. Apparently he didn't realize it until he left for the first encore. When he came back out, he mentioned to someone on the right of the stage how they had said to him his nose was bleeding but he didn't know at the time what they meant."[1]

HOME forum member benni101, attendee: "It was quite a spectacle when Dave fell. It was during 'Goodbye' on the side of the stage. He was doing one of his trademark sexual moves and he literally went head over heels! He tried to divert attention by bouncing up and doing that bendy yoga thing he always does. When he came out for the encore, he said, "Ah, you know: You just gotta hate these small stages!"[2]

Wayne Kisbee, attendee: "He fell during 'Goodbye', and when he landed he just bent over clutching his leg for 10 seconds or so. He eventually got up, grabbed his microphone stand and stood in front of the drummer with his back to the crowd for another 10 to 20 seconds, trying to compose himself. I presume he was feeling a little embarrassed, especially with his mum in the audience."[3]

Glyn Tookey, attendee: "Dave came on stage after realising his nose was bleeding, then pointed at us and said "You could have told me about my nozzle [i.e. nose]."[4]

Wayne Kisbee, attendee: "During 'Never Let Me Down Again', he went to walk to the left side of the stage and tiptoed around the bass player's speakers as if to say "Oops, gotta be careful this time". [5]

HOME forum member benni101, attendee: "Actually during 'Enjoy The Silence', someone had brought their pre-teen daughter near the front and lifted her up. Dave spotted her and started waving to her and singing to her."[6]

HOME forum member Crocodile, attendee: "Towards the end of 'Question Of Time' he went to grab a woman's hand and she pulled him in and gave him big kiss and then he ended up in the crowd."[7]

NU was the support act.
