2006-08-01 Terra Vibe, Athens, Greece
Notes
The last show of the tour and the last time 'Suffer Well' and 'It Doesn't Matter Two' were played live.
During 'Enjoy The Silence', a little bird toy with a guitar (similar to Martin Gore and his "wings") was shown on the screen projection as an end-of-tour surprise from the crew.
Though this concert was ultimately the final one of the tour, there was no end-of-tour speech because 2006-08-03 Hayarkon Park, Tel Aviv, Israel was originally slated to be the final concert but was unfortunately cancelled as a result of the 2006 Lebanon War. Since this concert was not anticipated to be the last concert of the tour, no end-of-tour speech was given at this concert. Notably, Depeche Mode started the 2009-2010 Tour Of The Universe in Tel Aviv to make up for this cancellation.
When Dave Gahan was asked by ANT1's Proinos Kafes in 2009 what he remembered from this concert, he replied:
"All my family were there. I remember that my wife's mother was on the side of the stage, watching. And I kept thinking, "I have to be careful because my mother-in-law is watching me, and I shouldn't get too down-and-dirty with my performance. But then after a while, I was like, "Ah, whatever, I gotta do my thing." She was smiling and laughing, and afterwards, she was like, "Ohh, it's... It's very revealing, very revealing.""
Schiller and The Raveonettes were the support acts.
NOTE: This concert was officially released by Live Here Now and at one point sold on the official depechemodelive.com, which is currently defunct. Concerts with LHN releases generally do not have audience recordings widely circulating, and as such there may not be a recording available on this website for this concert.
