1988-05-04 P.N.E. Coliseum, Vancouver, BC, Canada/Source 1
Notes
A good audience recording with a very excited and noisy crowd. The treble is somewhat shrill, and there is some distortion throughout.
The beginnings of Pimpf, Shake The Disease, A Question Of Lust, and Everything Counts are missing. There is a drop in the right channel at the end of Black Celebration. This is likely a flaw on the master tape, as higher-generation copies of this recording also have the flaw. Compared to prior available sources, this version has significantly clearer sound and has less hiss.
Since this is an LP mode DAT dub of the master cassettes, which limits the frequency response to 16KHz, this recording is considered a first-generation recording due to slight degradation of sound quality.
Many thanks to James K. for lending this DAT for archival.
