Notes

Andy Franks said in 2021: "We were in Toronto and we played at the [CNE], the outdoor stadium where they used to have the baseball. They used to pull that stage out: you'd set up on the stage and they'd have like the baseball and then they'd tow the stage around and the band would play on this. And because we hadn't sort of built the extensions on the stage and [because] of course it fucking rained as it was always going to do, the band were really sort of pissed off. And I went up in the middle of the show. There was this bit where Martin Gore used to come out and sing, and Dave and Fletcher were backstage and Dave was fucking losing it because of the rain and all this other stuff. And as I took them back on stage, these two 35 millimeter screens used to roll drop. And one of them came down and because of [the blindness in my right eye], this screen dropped on my head and knocked me out. So I'm on the floor knocked out, and the band are walking on, and Dave's looking around and Dave thinks I've been killed. So he's gone on stage and he's looking at the others and he's singing, but he's sort of going, "We're going going have to stop the show." Meanwhile they're looking for a paramedic while all this is going on. I come to wake up, look out, and I see that one of the fucking follow spots isn't working properly. So I just go off into the gig to go and find this follow spot guide and give them a bollocking. And by the time I get backstage, there's about 50 people having a search party out for me and everything. They had to take me and put me in front of the stage so Dave can see I'm still alive."

According to The Globe and Mail newspaper, this concert was sold out.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark was the support act.
