An excellent recording, although the taper reports there having been an obnoxious crowd around him. This is an audience recording matrixed with an in-ear monitor feed. Here are the taper's notes:

Went to this show with my Uncle. We sat in the 3rd row. It's the closest I have sat for any Depeche show! After what they played in Brooklyn last weekend, I wasn't really expecting any new wrinkles in the setlist. But pulling out Policy Of Truth and Dressed In Black was KILLER! I like the new version of Black Celebration too! The New York shows are always very special due to Dave living there. Few small tweaks to the songs since April's shows I saw. I'm glad to see My Favourite Stranger in the setlist instead of Speak To Me. Still don't understand why they picked the singles they did, because there are other stronger songs on the album.

The recording came out ok. Out of the other shows I taped, this was by far the most obnoxious crowd near me. Guy behind me yelling "C'mon Martin!" and "Let's Goooo!" Or asking me if he can light a cigarette, or telling me by bringing in my digital camera that I am "old school." Yikes. I stopped filming after about 25 minutes because the row in front of me was just as tall as I with heels on (and I'm 6'5"). I didn't want to impede anyone's view behind me with the camera over my head. Just enjoyed the show. It was a good weekend overall, with also being in NYC for Circoloco. I'm beat. Up until 5am both Fri/Sat.
