Notes

For the last concert of the 1986 Black Celebration Tour, Martin sung Somebody (the only time on this tour) rather than "It Doesn't Matter Two".

Andy Fletcher reported in the December 1986 issue of DM's Official Info Service Newsletter:

"All [of the bad things that happened on this tour] was made up with the Danish gig. A large crowd made up of people from all over Europe made it a night to remember."

Public Panic, New Order, and Talk Talk were the support act.

Dave's speech

Dave's end-of-tour "thank you" speech for the crew can be heard below.

This concert had the final performances of Christmas Island, Boys Say Go!, More Than A Party, It's Called A Heart, and New Dress to date. This was also the last time Photographic was performed until 2005-2006 Touring The Angel, 20 years later.

Additionally, this was also the final performance of Leave In Silence until an acoustic version sung by Martin during 2005-2006 Touring The Angel, and a one-off performance at 2013-11-19 O2 Arena, London, England, UK.

Sources

  • Source 1 is a superb audience recording, definitely one of the best from the tour. About a minute of Photographic was completed using a worse sounding audience source, but the recording is now complete.
  • Source 2 is Elly Apfel's good audience recording, sourced from a first-generation cassette tape.
