"Heroes" is a cover of the Davie Bowie song. This song has significance to the beginning of Depeche Mode; Composition of Sound (comprising Martin Gore, Andy Fletcher, and Vince Clarke) heard Dave singing the song at a rehearsal (1980-04-xx Rehearsal, Woodlands School, Basildon, Essex, England, UK) and were impressed with Dave's performance. The band covered it live at least twice during promotion for the Global Spirit Tour so far; the first instance was a live performance at New York's Highline Stages, in early August 2016. That performance was recorded and filmed, but is yet to be released.
