Something Went Wrong (compilation)

This is a compilation of Depeche Mode's live mistakes, glitches, technical problems and the like, spanning from 1980 to 2010. Naturally, this is not an exhaustive collection of mistakes, but 11 CDs worth - 139 tracks and over twelve hours of music - is certainly nothing to sneeze at!

Tracks used are the best possible versions available at the time of compilation (September 2012 through February 2013). All tracks have been verified as lossless, and any tracks marked as MPEG by Audiochecker are either MD sourced resulting in a false positive, or are false positives caused by noise reduction. Tracks have been edited for fade outs and trims of excessive audience noise at the endings of tracks where deemed necessary, as well as speed corrected if required. Full concert venue information and as much lineage information as possible, as well as a link to the entire concert on DIME if available, has been compiled into an Excel spreadsheet. Quality of tracks varies of course, but none are so terrible that you can't make out the music or find the mistake after a couple tries, if that. Nearly all tracks are from audience recordings, with a few from FM broadcasts or soundboard recordings.

Superb artwork for each volume created by Ronny is included as well. An artwork gallery can be found below.

Each separate volume is CD ready and will fit on an 70-minute or higher capacity CD-R. Alternatively, you can burn the entire compilation in its current FLAC format to a single DVD-R if you wish.

Do note that the first 6 CDs are not necessarily identical to the original 6 CD set that was compiled and released by Ronny. Even if the track listing is identical, more than likely there have been quality upgrades or speed correction applied to any tracks which required it. For the best experience possible, I highly recommend downloading this entire compilation.

There may be future additions to this compilation; after all, Depeche Mode is touring again soon, and the occasional mistake will undoubtedly occur. Nobody is perfect, we're all human!

Please do not encode any of these tracks to lossy formats except for personal use. Do not sell any part of this compilation. If you distribute this compilation elsewhere, please keep this info file and the venue information and lineage spreadsheet along with it.
